Insurance Reimbursement for Out-of-Network Sessions
We currently do not accept insurance, but can provide monthly superbills so you can request for out-of-network insurance reimbursement.
Insurance Reimbursement Made Easy(ish)
STEP 1 Call your insurance company to learn details about your Out-of-Network coverage.
Ask the following questions:
Do I have out-of-network mental health/therapy benefits?
What is my out-of-network deductible?
What percentage of the session cost will be reimbursed after my deductible?
Is there a limit to the number of out-of-network sessions per year?
Do I need pre-authorization or a referral for out-of-network therapy?
Where and how do I submit claims?
What documentation do I need for reimbursement?
How long does reimbursement usually take?
STEP 2 Request a superbill from us.
At the end of each month, we can email you a superbill, which is a detailed receipt of your sessions.
STEP 3 Submit the superbill to your insurance.
Send the superbill to your insurance company via mail, email, or online portal (as per your plan instructions).
STEP 4 Receive reimbursement.
Your insurance will review the claim and send reimbursement directly to you, usually as a check or direct deposit.
STEP 5 Keep a copy for your records.
Save your superbills and any reimbursement documents for taxes or future reference.
Important Notes About Out-of-Network Reimbursement
We do not accept insurance directly. All claims are submitted by you, the client.
We provide superbills to help you request reimbursement, but we cannot guarantee any payment from your insurance.
Reimbursement amounts vary by insurance plan, deductible, session limits, and coverage rules.
You are responsible for paying the full session fee at the time of your appointment.
Insurance companies may deny claims or request additional documentation, and we are not responsible for any denials or delays.
Timing of reimbursement is determined solely by your insurance company.
It’s a good idea to call your insurance provider in advance to understand your coverage and confirm any limits or requirements.
Submitting a superbill does not guarantee that your insurance will reimburse you fully or at all.
